Our Story

The director of Cradle 2 Kindy, Sally Hall, trained at Ngala Mothercraft Training Centre, South Perth and worked in regional and metropolitan children's and maternity wards throughout Australia. Her experiences with parents and children in the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia have helped Sally develop her practical methods that work for today's Australian families.

The Birth of Cradle 2 Kindy

In Dec 1995 Sally arrived in Sydney and applied for casual work with Karitane, Tresillian, and several private hospitals as well as doing agency work. During this time she completed several courses including the Lactation Consultants course with Australian Professional Lactation Education Services (APLES). She then saw a need in the community and decided to fill it. By May 2001, she registered her business Mothercraft Home Service, which was changed to Cradle 2 Kindy in September 2006. 90% of her clients are through referrals from satisfied parents bragging about their successes with friends, family and other health workers. Due to the high success rate in establishing routines and settling children from birth to five years GP and paediatricians are now referring their patients to Cradle 2 Kindy.

Parenting Manuals

Sally is also working on several manuals for the various age groups to assist parents with there parenting skills. The first of these will assist parents with babies from birth to three months.

Conclusion

Sally is excited that her goal of reaching many needy parents throughout the world is being fulfilled as Cradle 2 Kindy reaches out to parents not only in NSW but beyond. Franchising has begun. We now have a very experienced, qualified midwife as our parenting coach in Perth and soon our services will be available in other states. Cradle 2 Kindy has already assisted desperate parents in countries such as the UK, Hong Kong, USA, and New Zealand.

"I was a desperate mother of very unsettled twins. I had searched unsuccessfully for help here in the States but found nothing and no one really understood my babies till searching the web I came across Cradle 2 Kindy Parenting Solutions. I wrote to Sally who promptly replied with relevant information and suggestions. She said what I had described sounded like reflux.

Our son always seemed hungry, knaw on his fists in frustration, and had begun to fuss frequently. He had always been a very noisy sleeper. He then starting to cry during his feedings (bottle fed about four hours apart) and spits up a lot. His sister often sucked vigorously and then fussed and then sucked again. Sometimes she was a nightmare to feed!

My husband and I try to use the dummy sparingly. We try to pat and shhh, first, but end up giving in to the dummy. All day naps were disrupted and most nights!

Over lengthy emails correspondence we finally convinced our doctor to start the babies on medication which needed changing and adjusting till the right dosage helped to settle our babies.

Sally was so considerate and helpful through these difficult months.
