1. How many years has Cradle 2 Kindy been operating?
   The first three years of operating as Mothercraft Home Service the name changed to Cradle 2 Kindy in September 2006.  It has been operating very successfully since and will start operations as a franchise in 2009.

   Cradle 2 Kindy Parenting Solutions is the only franchising service of its kind in Australia.  We bring a personal, professional service to parents in their own environment.  Providing an individual parenting coach to assist parents with children from pre birth through to five years old.

5. How much is a Cradle 2 Kindy franchise?
   A franchise ranges between $13,750 to $15,000 inculding. This includes equipment, training fees and all other fees and charges.

6. How much is the royalty fee and what do I receive for my royalty fees?
   The royalty fee is 5% of gross sales. The royalty fee covers the continuing trade mark licence fee and the continuing technical assistance fee.

7. Is there an advertising fee and, if so, what type of advertising and promotional support will I receive?
   Yes. Franchisees participate in an Advertising and Promotion Program funded by a monthly contribution of 3% of gross sales. Advertising and promotion is an essential part of the development of the Cradle 2 Kindy franchise network and image. This fund is earmarked for brand and promotional advertising and other activities related to the marketing of Cradle 2 Kindy. Materials include:
   • Product brochures to educate our clients.
   • Distribution of press releases to the media.
   • Production of promotional literature.
   • High-quality advertising materials.
   • Media placement and production.

8. Is there a training program? And if so, what type of training will I receive?
   Yes. Upon acceptance of your franchise agreement and prior to your operating independently, you will receive comprehensive training. This informative and intensive 2 week session covers every aspect of operations including Parentcraft, sales and marketing, and product knowledge. Training takes place in a venue of our choice and with a buddy system for hands-on experience.

    Certain products (e.g., Platupup and Sleep Sweet baby wraps and Sleep CD) must be purchased through Cradle 2 Kindy's supplier. Certain products may also be specified and purchased from authorised vendors.

    Yes. We provide franchisees with advertising brochures and a computer disc with all the relevant stationery.

13. How much can I expect to earn from my service?
    Your actual earnings depend on a number of factors including territory location, amount of time you work on the business and advertising in your local area, your management skills and economic conditions. Essentially, you are starting a new business and there are risks. We will attempt to help minimise those risks. Therefore, it is impossible to predict your sales levels and earnings.

    Cradle 2 Kindy has mapped out territories which are available.  You will be able to choose an area in your vicinity that is most appropriate for you.

    Franchisee’s conduct their own due diligence and enquiries as to the suitability of any area for a Cradle 2 Kindy franchise. Franchisee candidates are welcome to suggest locations for consideration.

    Selection of a good zone is very important. Franchisee should take into consideration population density, income, the proximity to major residential areas.

17. What hours will I need to be working?
    A typical day can be divided into three main times, these are morning, afternoon and evening or night visitations.   We try to arrange these times around your availability.  Franchisees are required to arrive 10-15 mins early to every appointment.  Punctuality is paramount.  Some weekends may be required depending on clients needs.
